  1. Oddwick Home assistant:

Hello. I can help with delivery, returns and our lamps. What would you like to know?

Please don’t type personal or sensitive information. In the guided example your messages stay in this browser tab: they aren’t sent anywhere, stored, or recorded in analytics.

How this demo works.

What’s real, what’s prepared, and what happens to your messages.

Sample knowledge

Each business has a handful of short articles, shown beside the chat. They are the only information the assistant can use. All three businesses are fictional.

Guided example

Every reply was written in advance from the sample articles. When you type, your browser matches your words to the closest prepared reply. If nothing fits, the demo says so. It never improvises.

What the assistant may do

Answer from the sample knowledge and name the article it used. Ask one clarifying question when a request is ambiguous. Say when the information doesn’t cover something. Offer a person for exceptions, account questions and anything involving money.

Handoff to a person

The demo shows a simulated handoff. In a live setup the conversation and its history would go to the team’s inbox. Nobody joins the demo conversation, and it never shows a person as available.

What each scenario tests.

Every prepared question and reply, so you can read the demo without running it.

What is your returns policy? Answered from the sample knowledge

You can return most items within 30 days of delivery for a refund to your original payment method. They need to be unused and in the original packaging.

Start the return from the link in your delivery email. A $7 return shipping fee comes off the refund, unless the item arrived damaged or we sent the wrong one. Refunds are issued within 5 business days of the return reaching our warehouse. Final-sale items can’t be returned.

Can you help me choose a lamp? Needs a clarifying question

Happy to help. Where will the lamp go?

Can you make an exception to the returns policy? Outside the available information

I can’t approve exceptions to the returns policy. Only the customer care team can. Would you like me to pass this conversation to them? They reply Monday to Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Eastern time.

Do you ship to Canada? Answer

We only ship to the 48 contiguous states, so we can’t deliver to Alaska, Hawaii, US territories or other countries.

My lamp arrived broken. Answer

Sorry about that. Contact customer care within 7 days of delivery with your order number and a photo, and they’ll send a replacement or a full refund, including shipping. You won’t need to send the item back unless they ask. Would you like me to pass this conversation to them now?

Do you have a discount code? Says what it can’t do

I don’t have any information about discount codes or price matching, so I can’t offer one. Customer care may be able to help. Would you like me to pass your question on?

Can I talk to a person? Handoff to a person

I’ll pass this conversation to Oddwick Home customer care. They’ll see everything written here, so you won’t need to repeat it. They reply Monday to Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Eastern time.

QuestionBehaviorPrepared reply
How do I send my first invoice? Answered from the sample knowledge

First, add your business details under Settings → Business profile, since they appear on every invoice. Then go to Invoices → New invoice, choose or create a client, add your line items and select Send. Your client gets a link to view and pay the invoice online.

Can you help me with my account? Needs a clarifying question

Sure. What do you need help with?

Why was I charged twice this month? Outside the available information

I can’t see payments on your account, so I can’t check that charge or issue a refund myself. The billing team can. I’ll pass this conversation to them now, so you won’t need to explain it again. They reply Monday to Friday, 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Eastern time.

Can I import my clients from a spreadsheet? Answer

Go to Clients → Import and upload a CSV file. It needs a name column and an email column. Address and tax ID columns are optional.

The free Starter plan allows 5 active clients, so if you’ll invoice more than five, you’ll need Pro.

What does the Team plan cost for 8 people? Says what it can’t do

The Team plan is $29 a month for up to 5 users. The information I have doesn’t include pricing for more than 5 users, so I can’t give you a figure for a larger team. I can pass your question to the team so they can quote you. Would you like that?

Does Tallybird connect to QuickBooks? Says what it can’t do

I don’t have information about integrations with other software, so I can’t tell you whether that’s supported. I can pass your question to the team. Would you like that?

Can I get a refund if I cancel? Answer

You can cancel any time under Settings → Billing. You keep access until the end of the period you’ve paid for. We don’t give partial refunds for unused time, except where the law requires it.

QuestionBehaviorPrepared reply
What are your opening hours? Answered from the sample knowledge

We’re open Tuesday to Friday, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., and Saturday, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. We’re closed Sunday, Monday and public holidays. Walk-in flat repairs are taken until an hour before closing.

Can you fix my bike? Needs a clarifying question

Most likely. What’s going on with it?

Can you guarantee my bike will be ready by Saturday? Outside the available information

I can’t guarantee a completion date. A basic tune-up is usually ready in 2 business days and a full service in 4, but it depends on the workshop’s schedule and parts. The workshop confirms a ready date when you drop the bike off. Would you like me to pass your question to them?

How much is a tune-up? Answer

A basic tune-up is $75 and a full service is $160 plus parts. A flat repair is $15 plus the cost of the tube.

Can you fix my e-bike battery? Answer

We service the mechanical parts of e-bikes, like brakes, gears and wheels, but we don’t repair motors, batteries or electronics. For those you’ll need a shop that works on e-bike electronics. I don’t have details of one to recommend.

How do I get a quote? Answer

Send the workshop your bike’s make and model, what’s wrong, and a photo if something looks damaged. Quotes are confirmed after they inspect the bike, and they’ll call before doing any work that costs more than the quote.

Can someone call me? Handoff to a person

I’ll pass this conversation to the workshop so a mechanic can reply. They’ll see what you’ve written, so you won’t need to repeat it. Messages sent while the workshop is closed are answered the next day it’s open.
